Alec Smart: “Hey, Christian. I want you to give me the ‘good’ test.”
Christian: “Are you sure?”
Alec Smart: “Yep.”
Christian: “Okay, then. Have you ever told a lie?”
Alec Smart: “Never.”
Christian: “Not once? Not a fib, white lie, half-truth, or an exaggeration?”
Alec Smart: “Never!”
Christian: “You have always spoken the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help you God?”
Alec Smart: “Yep.”
Christian: “Have you ever stolen anything?”
Alec Smart: “Never.”
Christian: “Not even a ballpoint pen?”
Alec Smart: “Never!”
Christian: “Okay. Have you kept the First of the Ten Commandments?”
Alec Smart: “Yep.”
Christian: “What is it?”
Alec Smart: “I don’t know.”
Christian: “It is to put God first in your life. Have you loved God with all of your heart, soul, mind, and strength?”
Alec Smart: “Yep.”
Christian:“The Bible says that there are none who seek after God. So one of you is lying—either you or God, and the Bible says that it’s impossible for God to lie.
So you’ve broken the First of the Ten Commandments, and you’ve broken the Ninth by lying. You will be in big trouble on Judgment Day.”

I don't want to think of it as just being about a single judgement day. There are little judgments made along the way, and each person must endure a certain amount of them. Their effects add up, or the person adapts. Technically, judgment is a form of leadership which involves the defense and refinement of an idea that promotes the common good, and moreover, the hierarchy of an efficient authority structure.

Technically, judgment is a form of leadership which involves the defense and refinement of an idea that promotes the common good, and moreover, the hierarchy of an efficient authority structure. The Bible clearly teaches that there is only one judgment day. You might be thinking of the verse, "What a man sows, he shall also reap." (Galatians 6:7) There are many people in life that sinned and they have a pleasurable life, because sin does have pleasure. But there is the final judgment day, where God will separate the sheep from the goats (Matthew 25:32 - 34). Everything in what we do in life will be accumulated on the Day of Judgment where God will judge every thought, word, and deed that we had ever done, from cradle to grave. The only thing that can save us is the blood of Christ that can was our sins away. He can make us perfect before the Holy throne of God. (Colossians 1:22)

If there is only one judgment day, why do some people believe it is their duty to deliver a portion of God's judgment and to select who is worthy of eternal life?

And now since you have brought up the topic of judgment, that may also bring up the topic of truth. What is truth? Is it something we see and hear? Is it something we hear from our friends who are like minded? Is it something we are told by authority? Is it something that we know a little about and then develop? Or do we create truths and hold them to be common sense in order to preserve ourselves in the face of perceived danger?

If there is only one judgment day, why do some people believe it is their duty to deliver a portion of God's judgment and to select who is worthy of eternal life? There are people, who are in the Church, act like they are there to carry out God's judgment. But our motives should not condemn others. Why? Because they are already condemned. The ones that does not believe are already condemned (John 3:17-18). It is not our place to pass judgment, but to tell and warn others that if they do not repent, they will perish in their sins.

Or do we create truths and hold them to be common sense in order to preserve ourselves in the face of perceived danger? Truth is what is measure with reality. Let me share something that is true. The sun is hot. If I say that the sun is cold, then it is not true. Ask any scientists. But if I say that San Diego is the best city in the world, that is based on opinions and maybe personal experience. You see, we need to measure truth with the One who claimed to be the truth, Jesus Christ (John 14:6). If anything do not match of the standard of truth, it has to be false. Just like A. W. Tozer once said, "You cannot call a line crooked unless you have a straight line to compare it to." Society cannot tell you truth is. Matter of fact, the issue of relativism is that all points of truth are equally valid. So if I say that 2+2= 3, 5, 8, 34, 93, there is no wrong answer in the realm of relativism. But the matter is that if we compare truth to the One who claim to be the truth, then we would have the truth (John 8:31-32)
